Ministry of Mixology Kits

This week on {Tando} we are highlighting the kits that are initially produced for the Ministry of Mixology Retreats. Once the weekends are over, they are sold in the shop.

In an effort to try and improve my health as much as I can, I bought a NutriBullet and have been making smoothies for my lunch. I figured that a green smoothie has to have more beneficial nutrients than a bowl of cereal! And, who knew, you can buy pre-chopped frozen fruit. It takes as long and as much effort to make one as the usual cereal lunch I was having!

So to help me vary the smoothies, I've made a recipe journal using the {Ministry of Mixology Kate Crane Journal}

I started off using {DecoArt White Modelling Paste} through the {Grid Round Stencil} and {Letters Stencil}. Once that was dry, I gave all the greyboard sheets a coat of gesso and then went to town with acrylic paints, pens and stamps, including {Kaffee Klatsch} by Natalie Kalbach for Stampendous.

I also used inspirational quotes I got from Pinterest to keep me going.

I can't say that it's improved my health, I'm still feeling as crap as ever, but I think it's good for my general health and having a spinach based fruit smoothie everyday can only help that. I love the taste - my fave is spinach, banana, peach and oats - and surprisingly, it does keep you full up.

And last week, I managed to drop a full one all over my kitchen!! Luckily for me, my sister and niece were dropping the in-laws home so they came round and cleared it up. I found it very amusing!

The journal comes with the rings and you can also buy {more inserts} so they are very flexible in their use.

Tando Anything Goes

This week on {Tando} it's Anything Goes and, following on from most of my other recent posts, I've made a card using another of the soon to arrive card kits:

I've inked through the {Mini Splatters Stencil} onto white card and cut them out. I've added water to the ink from the ink pads and added small splatters to the card blank.

I've painted some {Minin Flowers} with acrylic paint and once dry, added glassy accents to the centres. I've then added Bronze Glass Glitter fro the {Stampendous Bronze Frantage Kit} to the centres. One dry, I've used acrylic paint to colour them before adding doodles and a stamped greeting.

August Colour Theme

The colour theme for August on the {Tando Blog} is this gorgeous lot:

I made a card, again using some pieces from an upcoming card kit:

I used a dry brush to add some acrylic paint directly onto the card blank. When this was dry I used {Criss Cross Mini Stencil} on top of it, moving it and lining it up to cover more space.

I've used {White Modelling Paste} through the {Mini Cogs Stencil} onto a tag. Once this was dry, I used Brushos and water, spraying to make sure it went into all the ridges.

I painted some of the {Mini Arrows} and {Mini Keys} with acrylic paint and doodled on them when they were dry.

I used the black card from the stencil packaging on the back of the tag so it returned to being flat after then hefty watering! Then I assembled the card using scraps, punched circles and stamped greetings.

Tando Butterflies

This week on {Tando} we are are highlighting butterflies. I've made a card using another of the soon to be released card packs:

I've inked through the {Mini Flourish Stencil} onto the card blank and used {DecoArt White Modelling Paste} through it onto a tag.

I've painted the {Mini Butterflies} and {Mini Heart} with acrylic paint.

Once dry, I used spray ink and water to colour the tags, making sure that the colour got deep into the grooves of the texture paste. I also splatted the card blank with spray ink.

I've used #Stampendous Frantage packs to decorate the butterflies and heart.
I've stamped and heat embossed the butterflies with Sky Blue Embossing Powder and stamped and embossed the heart with Detail Capri Embossing Powder, both from the {Teal Frantage Jewel Kit}.

I've finished everything off with some doodles and used the black card from the stencil pack to edge the tag.

I've used {Mini Splatters Stencil} onto the card blank and then went around the edges of the splats with a coloured pencil.
I've  cut the {Mini Music} to size and sprayed with black ink spray. Once dry, I've carefully used an embossing pen onto the notes and treble clef only then sprinkled Sky Blue Embossing Powder from the Stampendous {Teal Frantage Jewel Kit}. This is lovely and sparkly!

I finished off with a stamped greeting and some doodles.

Tando - Recycle the packaging

I'm kicking off this week on the -{Tando Blog}- where we are using the packaging that comes with the Tando goodies. I've used the black card that you get in the stencil sets for this card:

1. Cut the black card too size, use glitter medium through the -{Leaves 1 Stencil}- and leave to dry.

2. Use glitter medium through the -{Flourish Stencil}- onto the card blank, wiping it clean between uses so you don't get it where you don't want it.

3. Paint the butterfly and flowers from -{Mini Butterflies}- and -{Mini Flowers}- with acrylic paint, adding highlights as you go.

4. While everything dries, cut some patterned paper to size and use a border punch.

**The papers had the word 'Oh' on it, so I've used that in a circle punch and the 'Pretty' was in some coordinating stickers.**

5. Finish the whole thing off with doodles and glitter glue dots.

**All of the Tando products used here, plus a couple of others, will soon be on sale as card making kits from the Tando Store.**
